The Nature of Truth and Lies

 

Adventures in Odyssey character Buck Oliver

Eugene Meltsner: Sigh! It must be difficult for people who live with lies all the time. How do they know the truth when they see it?

Buck Oliver: After a while, I’m not sure they do. That’s the heartbreaking part. You have to hold onto the truth to recognize a lie; but people who hold onto lies get to where they don’t recognize the truth anymore.
