One hundred years ago this week, the Scopes Trial, which has for many times since been referred to as the “Trial of the Century,” was held in Dayton, Tennessee. We do well to recall what happened during the trial, as well as during its aftermath.

Ten years ago I wrote about some of these ramifications. These remain important for us to understand today.
